The Journal of Pedriatic Pulmonology and Related Research
Dear Readers,
We have the pleasure to present to you the first issue of a new quarterly, Journal of Pediatric Pulmonology and Related Research, a periodical directed to specialists interested in the subject of lung diseases in a broader context, not restricted to the respiratory system.
Our periodical is basically devoted to the developmental age problems, including those belonging to the scope of interest of adult medicine, with which pediatricians should naturally become acquainted. This approach should, as we hope, broaden the traditional formula of pediatric periodicals.
We intend to publish original research and clinical studies, reviews and case reports, inviting Polish and foreign authors for cooperation. The periodical's bilingual structure as well as its availability in the electronic form shall contribute to this aim. This is a natural development in the age of a progressing European integration, multicentre and multinational cooperative programs and the possibilities of fast exchange of experience and scientific thought.
An invitation to cooperate within the Scientific Council has been accepted by outstanding scientists and clinical specialists, whose presence is perceived by us as both an evidence of trust and an obligation to maintain a high level of substantive content and scientific reliability of our periodical. It is also our ambition to initiate and support numerous activities of the circles of pediatricians-pneumonologists assembled, among other centres, around the Society of Pediatric Pulmonologists of the Initiative for Rabka Medical Association, under whose auspices our quarterly has been started.
Our publication joins the number of already existing and well-established periodicals published by Medical Project Poland. We look forward to the future with optimism, fully aware that it is you who shall determine the final shape of our publication through your scientific work as well as your approval for our common forum of thought exchange on the pages of Journal of Pediatric Pulmonology and Related Research. I heartily encourage you to participate in both.
